Possibility of using Clean Chamber technology for maximum cell protection or using a laminar hood
The proprietary Clean Chamber system, utilizing two powerful fans and a HEPA H14 filter, removes airborne particles and microorganisms, providing a sterile environment for printing. UV light and an interior design without sharp corners also contribute to this technology to enhance cellular safety and reduce contamination.
Before starting the experiment, activate the Clean Chamber function to ensure optimal conditions for cell health.
Open Material Platform – Bioprint Without Limits
Compatible with a wide range of biomaterials
While we provide a comprehensive selection of ready-to-use and tissue-targeted bioinks, we also recognize the critical role of custom material development. That’s why we designed the BioFab X4 —as part of the BioFab X series—with an open material platform to support compatibility with the broadest range of biomaterials. Whether you're formulating your own bioinks or utilizing our advanced development kits, the system is built to adapt to your research needs.
Advanced Temperature Control for Maximum Material Compatibility
Print a broader variety of biomaterials and cell types with accurate temperature control of the printhead and printbed.
With precise temperature control in both the print head (4 – 250 °C) and the print bed (4 – 90 °C), you can easily work with temperature-sensitive materials such as collagen and gelatin. This flexibility in thermal regulation allows the use of a wider range of biomaterials and cell types, opening new horizons in bioprinting.
Expand your research with a growing collection of versatile, interchangeable printheads
With an integrated system, you can access various biofabrication methods. This platform supports up to four print nozzles and multiple printing tools.
Utilize a single platform to access various biofabrication techniques, thanks to support for up to eight different printheads and toolheads.
BioFab X is a leading 3D bioprinter equipped with a modular printhead system, allowing researchers to easily switch between printheads tailored to specific biofabrication tasks. As new options are added, your research capabilities continue to grow — enabling more flexibility and precision in your bioprinting projects.
