Light-based 3D bioprinting
Derived from stereolithography (SLA), light-based bioprinting solidifies bioinks through targeted light exposure, initiating precise chemical reactions only in illuminated areas. Leveraging technologies such as digital light processing (DLP), this method allows for rapid layer-by-layer fabrication, curing entire layers at once. The use of millions of micro-scale light points further enables ultra-high resolution printing with exceptional detail.

Low-temperature print bed module
This module enables control of the print bed temperature at a level lower than ambient temperature.
- Print bed temperature control down to 4 °C (up to 17 °C below ambient)

Electrospinning module
Electrospinning is one of the oldest and most widely used techniques in tissue engineering, enabling researchers to produce nanofibers with very small diameters. However, limited control over microfiber placement and inherent constraints in fabricating true three-dimensional tissues have reduced its prominence in modern tissue engineering. By using the Melt Electrowriting module, the advantages of electrospinning and bioprinting can be combined within a single system. This integration compensates for the limitations of conventional electrospinning and enables the bioprinter to fabricate highly delicate and precisely structured tissues. The use of Omid Afarinan’s high-temperature module in conjunction with this module is recommended.

Imaging module
The imaging module enables capturing images of the printed structure during and after bioprinting.
